Public Computers

The 2nd floor of the library will be closed for several weeks starting Friday, November 25th.  During this time, public computers will be located in the community room on the 1st floor.  There will be no public computer access on Friday, November 25th.

The Amherst Public Library has public computers on the 2nd floor that offer free Internet access, Microsoft Office 2013 programs, and a variety of information databases.  Patrons log on for one hour sessions using their library card.  If a patron does not have a library card, a guest pass may be obtained from the Reference Desk.   Computer time automatically extends if there is no one waiting to use a computer.  Library cards do not have to be in good standing for a patron to use the computers.  Printing is available for $.10 per page for black and white and $.50 per page for color.  Money must be added to the patron’s card at the Print Release Station before printing is enabled.

In addition to our public computers, the Amherst Public Library offers free Wi-Fi through the library.  No login is required for wireless access.
