14th Annual Friends of the Library Authors Luncheon

The Friends of Amherst Public Library will host bestselling author Paula McLain at their 14th Annual Authors Luncheon.  The luncheon will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 18th at Heritage Presbyterian Church, located at 515 N. Leavitt Road in Amherst.  Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Library or from a Friends member starting September 15th.

Paula McLain will speak about her writing techniques and her new fictional novel, Love and Ruin.  It tells the story of the stormy marriage between Ernest Hemingway and his third wife, war correspondent, Martha Gellhorn. McLain is also the author of Circling the Sun, and The Paris Wife.

Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items to support the Heritage Food Bank.  For further information, call the Library at 440-988-4230.
