Suicide: Signs & Prevention
|April 15, 2018||Filed under Featured||
Talking about suicide can be difficult, for the person experiencing suicidal thoughts, or their concerned friend or family member. Join us on Thursday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. to learn more on suicide signs and prevention. Special guest Clare Rosser from the Lorain County Board of Mental Health will provide training in the Question Persuade Refer (QPR) method and will teach attendees how to recognize communications and actions, intervene safely and confidently, and connect the person in need to the right help. Attendees do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience with mental health issues. In about an hour, you’ll have the skills and confidence to help when someone is struggling.
