The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will be available again this year at the Amherst Public Library. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free, individualized tax preparation for low-to moderate-income taxpayers – especially those 60 and older – at more than 5,000 locations nationwide. The program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Thursday, February 1st and extending through Thursday, April 12th. Individual appointments should be made in advance. To make an appointment, please contact the library at (440) 988-4230.
The IRS provides some basic tax forms to libraries, but not every form is included in this shipment. If you require a form that is not available downstairs, please visit the upstairs Reference desk where staff would be happy to print out any state or federal forms you may need.
While our library staff members are experts at what they do, we are not tax professionals. We cannot answer tax questions or offer any type of advice.
